StarCraft II on track for mid-year debut
Expansion planned, too
Chris Sigaty, lead producer of StarCraft II, has revealed that the eagerly awaited RTS title is still on track for a release in mid-2010.
Sigaty also reveals that just as soon as the title is ready, part of his team will begin work on the first expansion pack for the title.
"We're still targeting a mid-year release. Were doing everything we can. I was here all weekend along with a bunch of other people. Were trying to get done as soon as possible," Sigaty reveals to ShackNews.
"As far as the first expansion is concerned, he said that the team is aiming to release it 18-months post StarCraft II's launch. We'll have people transitioning in the next few weeks to beginning that process. There are other things that we want to work on; mod-related things that we want to do ourselves, but we'll definitely have people transitioning to the basics now, but there are still a ton of details to be worked out."
