In a move to consolidate the franchise under one roof, Bros. has acquired massively game developer Turbine.

According to a release from Interactive, the merger brings the Lord of the Rings Online studio in line with the rest of the games leveraging the fantasy franchise.

This is the latest in a series of buyouts orchestrated by Warner Bros. Previously, the company brought Batman: Arkham Asylum developer Studios into the fold. Earlier, Traveller's Tales was merged with Warner.

No changes to Lord of the Rings Online have been announced as a result of the sale.
