PS3 updates moved to Tuesday
New date
Beginning in May, Sony will be moving up the day on which updates, add-ons, and downloadable content is made available in order to put it in line with such releases on competing consoles.
GameInformer reports that Sony will move updates and DLC releases from Thursdays to Tuesdays, the same as for Xbox 360. The schedule change goes into effect the first week of May.
This ensures that DLC for big multi-platform games like Borderlands won't have a reason to be delayed on PS3 since it can be available on the same day as the Xbox 360 version.
It isn't clear, however, if PlayStation Network games will also be made available on Tuesdays or if they will stick to Thursday releases.
