City of Heroes 2 could be on PS3
Trademark hints
A trademark filed by massively multiplayer online gaming company NCsoft points to a potential sequel for once-popular superhero game City of Heroes.
SuperAnnuation uncovered the trademark, which was filed on the first of April. NCsoft has not made any announcements regarding a sequel, but the trademark is telling.
While it could be a move to prevent another company from nabbing the name, it's more likely to be the first steps in revealing a full follow up to the 2005 blockbuster.
In fact, NCsoft announced some time ago that it was working with Sony to develop a PS3-exclusive online role-playing game. The timing of this trademark could mean City of Heroes 2 is destined for a PS3 launch. Look forward to definitive news in June during E3.
