Despite universally mediocre of Nokia's gaming platform (or so various reports suggest), third-party support still seems to be strong and rising, demonstrating the collective will of gaming developers and publishers too see this alternative format survive, and also a strong degree of faith in the Finnish mobile giant's ability to pull it off in the end. Thusly, we have news this morning that VU Games are creating a new version of their eponymous Crash Bandicoot series for the wee-beastie.

A new version of Crash Nitro Kart is the order of the day, and the critter's latest will launch in the second half of the year - amid high-hopes from both VU and Nokia, no doubt. Wireless Bluetooth will be included, not to mention new characters, tracks and game modes.

We'll certainly be interested to take this Mario-Kart-alike for a spin when it's on the starting grid, especially as this is just the kind of title the under-fire needs.
