Bad Company 2 breaks the 2 million sales mark
BC2 steals a march on MW2
EA have proudly announced that Bad Company 2 has reached the 2.3 million sales mark since its release two weeks ago.
Despite a few teething problems on the PC and console version, BC2 has become rip-roaringly popular and is proving a popular alternative to the latest Call of Duty.
Bad Company 2 now claims a vast amount of playing time with gamers racking-up 2.9 million hours in the last 24 hours alone.
Karl Magnus Troedsson, Executive Producer of the Battlefield Franchise said: "We are so thrilled with the success of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 sales and fan response. In the first 48 hours we had such a tremendous rush to multiplayer gameplay that our servers experienced overwhelming demand."
He added: "This is a testament to the massive response players have had worldwide for the extraordinary action experienced in the Battlefield sandbox," "DICE and EA have brought more servers online. We now have enough capacity to handle all BFBC2 connections seamlessly and we continue to monitor online play daily."
It has not been without its hiccups though as PC users have been experiencing problems with the newest patch and PS3 users had problems accessing VIP content until Wednesday night.
