Mirroring an issue with the version of 2, atmospheric Metro 2033 doesn't render in true widescreen and instead just stretches a standard aspect ratio image.

To say it's a problem is an understatement. IncGamers quotes a number of players who complain about the graphics being stretched awkwardly across the screen.

One gamer claimed things looked "zoomed in" because of the way in which the graphics had been resized to fit the widescreen aspect ratio.

Developer 4A Games has acknowledged the problem, tweeting that they're working on a patch. "PC Widescreen - yes, we know about it. Yes, we're working on it. We'll keep you posted!"
