EA video amps up MW2 mockery
Round two
DICE, the developer responsible for Battlefield: Bad Company 2, is pushing forward with its campaign to poke fun at rival studio Infinity Ward for its questionable community engagement tactics.
The mocking isn't unwarranted - DICE released a promotional video for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 detailing "F.R.A.G.S." as the counterpoint to a tactless viral vignette meant to push Modern Warfare 2 last autumn, which some regarded as homophobic.
New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia makes an appearance in the video to impress the deplorable nature of grenade spam in multiplayer gaming. The difference here from the questionable Infinity Ward video: no homophobic slurs are flashed on the screen.
DICE 2, Infinity Ward 0. Stay tuned for round three.
