Relegated to releases in the last few years, Naughty Dog's Jak and Daxter franchise is primed for an appearance on according to studio co-president Evan Wells.

Speaking with Joystiq, Wells agreed that a high definition instalment of the series would be among many desirable projects for to pursue.

"Maybe we could go to Jak and Daxter as the next project...It's tricky to be able to tackle all of those at once. Right? We don't have the resources. So, we're gonna have to choose our battles. I'm not sure whether Jak and Daxter will win that battle."

Considering the runaway success of 2, a third game in the series seems a likelier prospect. That doesn't mean another developer couldn't tackle a PS3 Jak and Daxter game, though.
