Star Wars: The Old Republic EA's biggest project ever
BioWare MMO sets a company record
EA are apparently spending somewhere in the region of 100 million USD getting BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic up and running.
Given that the publisher's typical development budget for a game is around 30 million USD they are pouring a sizeable investment into BioWare's first MMO and see it as a major title in the future of the company.
EA's chief financial officer, Eric Brown, went so far as to say that SWTOR was the "largest ever development project, period, in the history of the company."
100 million USD is not so much when you consider that World of Warcraft took that much to launch back in 2004.
Thanks 1UP.
