EA are apparently spending somewhere in the region of 100 million USD getting BioWare's up and running.

Given that the publisher's typical budget for a game is around 30 million USD they are pouring a sizeable investment into BioWare's first and see it as a major title in the future of the company.

EA's chief financial officer, Eric Brown, went so far as to say that SWTOR was the "largest ever development project, period, in the history of the company."

100 million USD is not so much when you consider that took that much to launch back in 2004.

Thanks 1UP.
