Ubisoft deny new DRM has been cracked
Silent Hunter 5 has not been hacked
Ubisoft have denied that their new DRM system has already been hacked.
Rumours are abound that the first two titles to use the new system, Assassin's Creed II and Silent Hunter 5 have both been hacked and are floating around on the internet.
Given that the new DRM system has been met with fierce opposition from PC gamers Ubisoft are eager to point out that the system is working as planned.
The publisher told Edge Online: "You have probably seen rumours on the web that Assassin's Creed II and Silent Hunter 5 have been cracked. Please know that this rumour is false and while a pirated version may seem to be complete at start up, any gamer who downloads and plays a cracked version will find that their version is not complete."
