Infinity Ward heads sue Activision
The plot thickens - the ousted leaders of Infinity Ward, Jason West and Vince Zampella, has filed a lawsuit against Activision claiming breaches of contract including what they view was wrongful termination of their employment.
According to Joystiq the deposed duo are lashing out at Activision for unsubstantiated charges of insubordination that led to their dismissal.
The lawsuit claims that Activision violated an agreement and purposefully fired the two in order to avoid paying royalty fees on Modern Warfare 2. Those payments, in fact, were to be made soon.
Most interesting, though, is the lawsuit's demand that the rights to the Call of Duty franchise be returned to West and Zampella. Now would be the time to get some popcorn because it looks like they'll be at it for awhile.
