Gearbox talk of Aliens: Colonial Marines
Colonial Marines makes a surprise return
It was one of the biggest non-events of 2009 when Sega's Aliens: Colonial Marines missed its release date and disappeared off the motion detectors.
Many had feared that it had joined Obsidian's Alien RPG in the cancellation bin.
Now though, Gearbox's Randy Pitchford has been talking about reviving work on the long-awaited Alien title now that Borderlands is nicely done and dusted.
Pitchford told MCV recently: "We have an Aliens game with Sega and 20th Century Fox which we're really excited about. It's the thing I've been stealing from all my career. Now I'm really working on it, but we've been quiet about that so far."
Aliens: Colonial Marines is actually a more promising title than Aliens vs. Predator but, as a more recognised brand Sega decided to use it to gauge whether Colonial Marines could be a success.
