Nokia's continued efforts in promoting the critically-unacclaimed are nothing but admirable, and at least show the Finnish mobile giant's commitment to a foothold in the games business they see is key to future expansion. Enter their latest marketing manoeuvre, a 27-stop tour of European ski resorts, promoting their wares to skiers on the piste.

A variety of top locales will form the backdrop to this unusual promotional tour (most manufacturers are happy to settle for high streets around the land), which will take in Austria, France, Finland, Italy, Norway, Switzerland and Sweden. The tour will encourage skiers to battle it out for top prizes, and games such as Tony Hawk's, 2004, Splinter Cell, and Rayman 3 will be demonstrated.

Energy drinks will further entice the crowds who'll be able to watch winter sporting activities on video screens whilst waiting in-line for a play; the tour kicks-off at the end of this week.

Back down the mountainside and into more traditional news territory then, as a busy day for Nokia continues with the announcement of two new N-Gage titles from Sega: Virtua Cop and Alien Front. Both these games will offer Bluetooth support, as well.

Quite how Virtua Cop will be brought to the tiny-screen is unknown, as the 'on-rails' doesn't immediately lend itself to action, and whilst a first-person perspective is touted - we'll miss the light gun too.

By contrast, Alien Front will be based around a two-player deathmatch dynamic, and will see gamers piloting all manner of vehicles defending the Earth against an alien onslaught. Finally, in news from that might not please Nokia quite as much - the Japanese publisher has confirmed that it plans to offer support for Nintendo's - and has recently acquired the relevant tools.

More on Nokia's efforts as we get it.
