Valve have given their content delivery system a bit of an overhaul, and those interested in testing the new-look interface can do so by opting into the beta.

The new look is definitely slicker, even if it doesn't do away with the dark, brooding look of the original entirely.

"We've overhauled the Steam user interface to enhance the way you already buy and play games, adding more info about the things that matter - getting games, playing them with friends, and staying current in the gaming world," over on the new style.

Friends lists, news feeds, game browsing and much more have been overhauled as part of this revamp. We'll have more Steam news soon.
