Activision shut studios
Luxoflux and Underground closing down
While Neversoft face sizeable lay-offs as Activision wields the axe, word has it that Luxoflux and Underground Development will be closed entirely.
Luxoflux and Underground Development were responsible for Guitar Hero: Van Halen and BMX XXX.
Radical have also faced cut-backs, while Guitar Hero operators RedOctane are also losing staff - only hardware-related staffers remaining.
These cut-backs come as Activision scale back their music game plans, the publisher honing in on "directing our resources against the largest and most profitable business segments, and as part of this initiative, we are realigning our resources to better reflect our slate and the market opportunities."
More from Activision as we get it.
