Criterion plan new SSX game?

Need for Speed not the only title series being revived

EA's best selling SSX series could be making a return, Official PlayStation magazine reporting that a new extreme sports title could be developed by Burnout creators Criterion.

Word has it that the revival of SSX is being crafted alongside the next Need for Speed game, which has switched home to Criterion.

The next Need for Speed is due out in the third-quarter of 2011, although it is unclear when this rumoured SSX game might arrive.

SSX Blur on the Wii is the most recent title in the franchise to be released, so EA could be aiming at reviving the series on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
