Aliens vs. Predator violence a must
There will be blood
The only way to fully capture the spirit of the franchise, Aliens vs. Predator developer Rebellion was compelled to amp up the violence and gore in its forthcoming high definition shooter.
Senior producer David Brickley tells CVG in an interview that staying true to the movies meant heightening the visceral nature of action in the game.
"It's impossible to pay homage to the material without being so graphic." Cue footage of alien walking around with a human head in its jaws.
While Brickley makes a cogent argument, many fans of the franchise have been upset with instalments because of the willingness to tone down the gore with the hopes of attracting a more mainstream audience.
