Miffed gamers are abandoning 2 over the decision to skirt Games for Windows protocol and forgo support for controllers.

Destructoid highlights the developing story, which sees a growing group of PC gamers complaining about the inability to play BioShock 2 with a controller. The forum is exploding with complaints.

Developer Marin had long stated that the controller would not be supported, explaining the reasons in an interview on the Cult of Rapture website. "The decision was made early on not to support controllers at all in order to ensure that we got the mouse and keyboard control absolutely right."2K Games hasn't commented on the possibility of a patch, but a loud enough chorus of complaints could make them act.
