Solid Snake coolest game character ever

Snake sneaks his way to the top

Japanese games fans have declared that Solid Snake is the coolest video game character ever.

The poll, taken by Weekly Famitsu, crowned the hero of Metal Gear Solid coolest game character just ahead of Mario who held second place.

Third was Final Fantasy VII's brooding hero Cloud Strife who was followed by the slimes from Dragon Quest in fourth.

Other honourable mentions were Sonic in 10th and Street Fighter's Ryu in 30th.
