Bioware's MMORPG finally arrives - next year
EA's CEO announced to investors that Star Wars: The Old Republic will launch in Spring 2011.
The MMO, which is possibly one of EA's most eagerly awaited titles ever, is also expected to be a big earner for the publishing giant who are a bit strapped for cash at the minute.
CEO John Riccitiello said: "MMOs can cost as much as two to six, seven times as much as a front-line title, if they're done right.... It is a major investment for us."
The Old Republic is Bioware's first foray into the world of MMORPGs and will build on the universe they created for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
