Veteran game designer Fumito Ueda has said that we can expect lots of news on his new game, The Last Guardian, this year.

The new adventure from Team ICO is one of the biggest games in the works for the PS3, and it sounds as if we might hope for more on this at E3, or perhaps later in the summer at the Tokyo Game Show.

Ueda's team have been surprised by early feedback, while the designer speaks of using advanced physics technology to make the Torkio griffin-beast move as smoothly as possible.

No release date has been offered as yet.
