Codemasters has completely cancelled criminal game Heist, moving away from game partnerships with external developers to focus on fewer internally created games.

CVG has word from the company, which confirms that Heist has been completely canned and will not reappear at a later date. Instead, is streamlining its portfolio moving forward.

"Codemasters is focusing its future portfolio on high quality titles that will, in the majority, be developed and produced by our internal studios."

Such a statement leads us to believe that Codemasters was unhappy with the quality of the game. Developer inXile Entertainment has decent record with previous titles, which makes this cancellation slightly surprising.
