Speaking with FF-Reunion, Yoshinori Kitase has said that have no plans to release any XIII DLC, although it remains a 'possibility' we hear.

An initial offering was apparently dismissed by the team because of the additional time burden, but extra content has none the less been considered.

"If asked if it's possible or impossible, it's possible. However, at present we're not considering it," Kitase explains.

The game is out on March 9th, and apparently another game's worth of content has already been cut from the main release. DLC still a possibility? We think so.

Update: In a new interview noted by FF-XIII.net, Kitase has apparently hinted that DLC is planned: "At first we had plans to release the game simultaneously worldwide, so we had the intention to deliver identical version between the regions. When we noticed that we wouldn't make it, we decided to release the game as fast as possible in the west after its release in Japan.

"We initially had doubts to add extra content to the western version but then it would have taken the international version more months of delay. We did prepare a DLC but it will arrive a little later in the west."
