Microsoft's Laura Dinsey has been cranking up the hype surrounding in anticipation of a final release date announcement.

Remedy's eagerly awaited psychological thriller "will blur the lines between TV and gaming" according to Dinsey, with the Scandinavian developer having "really polished the game over the last few months."

Dinsey, who is product marketing manager for Microsoft, also confirmed that the game would be released this year saying: "Alan Wake is on track from a standpoint and will play an important role in our Spring 2010 game portfolio."

If Alan Wake is truly going to be released this spring then it will have to be something really special if it is to provide for the PS3-exclusive which is out next month.
