World of Warcraft players should brace themselves ahead of the launch of add-on pack Cataclysm, according to director J. Allen Brack, who says the expansion will 'shake up' the game.

"We look at game as an iterative process, and we're continually polishing and building on what weve done in the past. Just to give you one example, Cataclysm gave us an opportunity to go back to the game's original zones and update the dramatically," Brack told MCV.

"Cataclysm is also shaking up the game in other ways, with new features and races added, altered landscapes, new zones, new professions, new dungeons and new raids, to ensure the game offers all of our players something new and exciting."

Cataclysm was confirmed late last year and due out during 2010.
