Microsoft face lawsuit over Microsoft Points
Microsoft upset more customers...
One Xbox Live Marketplace customer was enraged to find out that Microsoft took points from his account but never received the downloadable XBLA game he had purchased.
At least that is what the suit filed against the software giant in Philadelphia. Samuel Lassoff complained that the download system malfunctioned and took his points but never provided him with the requested game.
The suit says Microsoft "engaged in a scheme to unjustly enrich itself through their fraudulent handling." It also claims that there are hundreds of other customers that have experienced similar complaints.
The suit comes not long after Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg was praising the transparency of the Microsoft Points system.
"How can we be more transparent and let people see it in actual dollars?" explains Greenberg. "You've got to think that we have one service that we're offering around the world. The nice thing about Points is that no matter if you're on the JPY or the EUR or the USD - something that's 200 Points is 200 Points everywhere around the world."
