Hideo Kamiya's latest opus Bayonetta is going down a treat with players and critics, and assuming the game in decent quantities it seems likely and could get to work on a sequel.

Chatting with Game Informer, Kamiya says as much himself: "We obviously have love for the work we have created, so I don't see anything wrong with Bayonetta 2."

Whether this would be a straight sequel, however, is unclear: "Personally, I'd like to approach the world of Bayonetta from a different angle, in the form of a spin-off."

Bayonetta is out now on the and 360.
