Ubisoft France's Geoffroy Sardin's comments to French gaming site Gamekult earlier this week left a few games reporters a little confused.

The translation of the comments left some sites wondering if Sardin was just exasperated at receiving yet another question about the eagerly awaited sequel or whether he was confirming that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is indeed in development.

Footage almost leaked just weeks before E3 last year but at the time, denied the game was in development.

Ubisoft have now confirmed Sardin's comments with PR Director Jaime Cottini saying simply: "The game is still in development."
