Ubisoft has been talking up Splinter Cell: Conviction in a bid to appease fans disgruntled by yet another delay.

After bumped Sam Fisher's return into April, moving it out of the already-crowded first quarter release schedule they claimed it was to add a bit more polish to the game.

A Ubisoft spokesperson told Eurogamer: "The game looks brilliant, but we want it to be awesome."

The first quarter of this year is already jam-packed with blockbuster titles and Ubisoft are not the only company worried about their games getting lost in a crowd quicker than Altair, with also bumping Super IV and 2 into the quieter second quarter of 2010.
