Modern Warfare 2 earns 1 billion USD
Cha-ching
Activision CEO Bobby Kotick proudly trumpeted the news that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has succeeded in drawing 1 billion USD in revenue since its release in November of last year.
Kotick certainly has reason to be proud, as few games ever achieve such landmark sales. Equally impressive is that more than half of that revenue was drawn in the first five days the game was on sale.
It's worth noting that this does account for international sales and that the figure will undoubtedly rise over the next few months as the game continues to sell.
In other news, Kotick is rumoured to have purchased Scrooge McDuck's money vault and gone for a skinny dip in its mountains of cash to celebrate the news.
