The Sims go PS2

15m seller console port

EA has announced that it will be porting the wildly popular ‘The Sims’ game to the PS2. Not particularly spectacular in itself but they also announced the development of ‘The Sims Online’ to be unveiled Q3 this year.

Now, Sony has already announced Everquest will be ported. So could this alliance be part of the PS2 online gameplan? I think so. With two big name games in their arsenal Sony really are moving into a strong position, but it is early days and Microsoft plan to gatecrash the party.
