Capcom has decided to push back the release of three of its biggest upcoming titles as a way of avoiding from the coming glut of games expected in the first half of 2010.

Dead Rising 2, 2, and Super IV are all being delayed to Capcom's 2010 fiscal year. In plain English: the earliest any of these games will see a store shelf is April 1. In fact, Super Street Fighter IV now carries a release date of April 1.

A document announcing the delays points to competition from other companies in the early months of the new year. With 2, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction, III, and others, the period between January and March is looking to be a blockbuster one indeed.

While its disappointing being made to wait a little longer, it's probably for the best in making sure these games get deserved attention.
