With Japanese publisher apparently revealing plans to expand their - and subsequently their European operations later this year, also comes word from Bloomberg that the firm will bring one of their biggest successes from 'back home' with them. Its another 'rhythm-based' game in the style of Donkey Konga, and in Asia it's titled Taiko No Tatsujin.

The new title, which will come with a drumming peripheral, will be released in and North America this year, with the firm apparently planning to adapt the used and of course languages and the like to Western tastes.

This unique game has gone down a storm in Japan, shifting a massive two-million copies (including the unusual controller), and spawning two sequels in at the moment. More news on the game; and Namco's new European ambitions as we get it.
