Premium PSN service includes major perks
Extra perks actually sound worthwhile
In case you haven't heard, Sony has been tossing around the idea of a premium subscription option for the PSN. If your first reaction to that is anger just hold on, based on a few of the things in Sony's proposal the paid subscription may be worth your hard earned cash.
From what we have heard a few of the features included would be cross-game chat, Hulu TV catch-ups, Netflix sans the disc, unlimited access to PSone classics and PSP minis, exclusive member content and, what could be the crown jewel of the package, one hour full access demos to PS3 titles. This lookslike quite an enticing list and this isn't even all of it. For a more thorough listing check out this article at Kotaku.
Prices for the service range from 29.99 USD per year up to a pricier and presumably beefier 69.99 USD per year. It seems Sony is actually puttingquite a lot of thought into this service. Which means that it may very well turn out to be good and could even beg the question as to where these features are on Xbox Live.
We shall see, but in the mean time stop back in for updates as we get them.
