Square Enix are to reissue their classic PlayStation JRPG Vagrant Story on next week.

Vagrant Story is one of Square's many games in its back catalogue to receive a perfect score on Japan's Weekly Famitsu magazine.

The game sees an apparently simple rescue mission to retrieve the kidnapped son of a dignitary descend into a web of intrigue and betrayal.

Square Enix's Vice President, Larry Sparks, enthuses: "Vagrant Story is one of only a handful of games to be honoured with Famitsu's highest possible score and it's a great pleasure to be releasing the game in Europe. For the first time in years VAGRANT STORY will be easily accessible to original fans and new gamers wanting to experience a true classic."

Vagrant Story hits the European PlayStation Store less than a week after the Japanese re-release of VIII on PSN in the Far East. It is priced at 5.99 Euro.
