More trademark filings for Nintendo
Is this getting silly?
Not content with registering the trademark 'Zii' in Japan, Nintendo have reserved another series of plays on the Wii brand today, it would seem.
Cii, Bii Oii and Yii trademarks have also been bagged by the Japanese hardware maker, and it looks suspiciously like Nintendo are merely positioning themselves to control the name - rather than planning new products.
For their part, Nintendo haven't said anything on these new filings, confirmed by GoNintendo, but these titles certainly sound less like real products than 'Zii' arguably did.
We'll have more on this soon.
