id Software, you may remember, merged with Bethesda in June. At that time, it was said that any publishing deals would remain in effect including id's contract with EA to publish Rage.

That has been called off. In a statement to the media, Bethesda has announced intent to publish the Doom-meets-MotorStorm title.

It's unknown whether EA willingly relinquished publishing rights to or if Bethesda had to negotiate a settlement with EA for termination of the previous agreement. Either way, you can now expect the house that Elder Scrolls built to be handling the upcoming game.
