Tony Hawk eager for another Ride
Let us off
Undeterred by downright abysmal reviews, Tony Hawk tells Kotaku that he wants to pursue another skateboarding game for Activision's peripheral.
"I feel like the device is a flagship for other games," Hawk surmises. "I think we can do another skate game, I think we can do other board-type games, surfing, snowboarding."
Critics may beg to differ. On Wii, the game is averaging 54 according to aggregate site Metacritic. That's rosy compared to 47 and 45 on Xbox 360 and PS3, respectively.
A snowboarding or surfing game might fare better, but given the lacklustre reception of Shaun White Snowboarding on Wii (the game supports the Wii Balance Board) and past-its-prime Kelly Slater series, the peripheral looks to be in for a bumpy ride.
