GTA Online is a go today
Grand Theft Auto Online will launch today after giving gamers plenty of time to mess around in Los Santos on the single player.
The new mode will go live on the Xbox and PS3 at around 12 noon today with a small title update required to unlock it in the game. Players will then be able to jump in to GTA Online via the bottom segment of the character select wheel.
The narrative in GTA Online is set a few months before the events in GTA V and as well as the content that the game launches with they will be adding regular jobs. The Content Creator tool will also be added later in the autumn allowing players to make up their own races and deathmatch scenarios.
There are also unique unlocks available to Social Club members like weapons, car customizations, crew colours and character customizations as well as the ablility to share playlists and bookmark jobs with friends online which make it well worth signing up to Rockstar's social network.
GTA Online will be available for free to all GTA V owners on PS3 and Xbox 360 later today.
