EA boss blames press for share declines
Riccitiello sees media talking down publisher
Talking about his efforts to redirect the company, EA boss John Riccitiello has said that negative publicity in the media is doing little to help the firm's share price in the short-term.
Chatting with IndustryGamers, the big cheese says that while the company is pleased with its progress, the newspapers have been rattling markets, resulting in EA losing value.
"We're cash flow positive, we're profitable, we're growing, and what we've chosen to do is a strategic step in the process of resetting our company to a different strategy. Sometimes people almost believe more what they read in a newspaper than what they hear from their own company. A great deal of what's written is often ill-informed and misunderstood. So it's a hard thing for morale from time to time," Riccitiello offered.
We'll have more on this soon.
