Riccitello sees opportunity in piracy
Has EA CEO got the answer?
EA's CEO, John Riccitello seems to think that EA have the answer to software piracy.
Speaking to Kotaku, Riccitello spoke of how EA are trying to lure pirates back into the fold with quality downloadable content.
"There's a sizable pirate market and a sizable second sale market and we want to try to generate revenue in that marketplace," Riccitello said.
EA are already excited about the huge popularity of the downloadable content that has been available for Dragon Age. "The consumer seems to really like this idea that there is extra stuff," the big cheese added. "The consumer wants more, and when you give them more or sell them more it seems to be extremely well received."
It is this popularity that Riccitello hopes will encourage pirates to at least spend money on downloads.
