Marc Whitten, boss of Live, has said that the system could spell the end of the the traditional remote control.

Chatting at the Media West show (thanks GI.biz), Whitten said he is proud of his work on the 360's video channel - adding that Natal could even have a profound effect on this side of the system, beyond video games.

"With the flick of my wrist I can change a channel. With the power of my voice I can start a movie," beamed the executive.

"I don't believe we are currently in the golden age of the or the golden age of the game console or the golden age of the Internet; frankly, five years from now I don't know that you'll be able to tell the difference between those worlds."
