Vast DSi LL/XL sales in Japan
Weekly total tops 100,000
Full hardware sales figures are in from Japan for the week ending November 22nd, and it looks like the new big-screen Nintendo DSi LL has made a rip-roaring start in the land of the rising sun.
Sales of the handheld top 100,000 units for the week in question, the PS3 a very distant second with nearly 35,000 units shifted.
Third is the Wii console with sales of nearly 33,000 - the PSP next with over 32,000 units sold - just a few dozen behind.
Then there's the DSi still close with 32,000 sales, followed by a big drop down to the DS Lite on 5,000, the PSP Go manages just under 5,000, the Xbox 360 on 4,000 and the PS2 on 2,000. More news soon.
