Super Mario Kart nearing VC release

Seminal racer out next week

The original Super Mario Kart is set for release on the Wii's Virtual Console platform, Nintendo confirming that the new game will be released next week.

The classic racer will cost 800 Wii Points, which works out at about 8 USD.

Pilotwings and Super Smash Bros from the N64 should also land on the console before Christmas, Nintendo rolling out a few big hitters in time for the festive season.
