Modern Warfare 2 may be hoovering up cash like a proverbial City banker, but speaking at the BMO Capital Markets conference in the US, Microsoft's Dennis Durkin says that 3: ODST is no slouch, either.

Speaking at the New York business bash, the COO said that the new has so far shifted over three-million copies since launch. Not bad for a game marketed as a mere 'extension' of the original game.

The game was released in late September, although it is unclear whether this total is just for the or not - the game having sold 1.5 million copies in the US in September alone.
