Wii Fit not effective, claims study
Study disproves marketing
Has your fitness plan been revolving around the Wii Fit? If so, you may want to consider a gym membership.
The American Council on Exercise has released a report, based on the research of the University of Wisconsin, which decries the effectiveness of the Wii Fit as having "underwhelming results."
Apparently the most strenuous of Wii Fit's exercises, including super hula hoop and free island run, burn only about 100 to 160 calories every thirty minutes, as reported by Kotaku. This also means that Wii Fit could not even compare to an equivalent amount of time spent playing Wii Sports, which happens to be more entertaining.
