Big name IPs are set to return to the limelight as the publisher focusses in on "core IP", having announced a 391 million USD second-quarter loss, prompting a re-evaluation of the firm's priorities.

It sounds suspiciously as if new IPs will be taking a back seat as admits to "tough choices" that will see certain projects shelved in favour of surer bets.

"In the months ahead, you'll hear more about our plans to revitalize core IP, including the franchise," offers EA Games chief Frank Gibeau, speaking with investors.

The Medal of Honor series was once one of EA's flagship IPs, but the name has suffered amid mediocre releases and stiff from Activision's series.
