While Polyphony's latest opus may now be complete, and in the final polishing stages, 5 remains a fairly distant prospect - the game's Japanese debut off the cards until March next year.

A Western release, meanwhile, remains more illusive still, with no word on when the exclusive title will arrive. chief Kazunori Yamauchi blames marketing.

"We will release [GT5] in March in but for other regions, it has not been decided yet," he explained, adding on the prospect of releases elsewhere: "That's more depending on SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment America) marketing decisions."
