Konami announces massive hit to profits
Slow year hurts net gain
Konami, in its financial forecast ending September 30, has predicted an 82 percent drop off of net income as related to last year.
The forecast puts the net income at the end of the period at USD 24.3 million, as compared to the slightly more substantial USD 132.8 million of last year.
As reported by Gamesindustry, the company mainly attributed this to a slow release period and the later release dates of main titles relative to 2008.
We shall wait and see if the holidays are slightly less cruel for Konami. Check back for updates.
